Zhivko Mutafchiev

Zhivko Mutafchiev is a very interesting and memorable author, with his own individual and recognizable style, which he creates in the field of fine art, graphics and painting. Zhivko Mutafchiev is well-known to art collectors, both in Bulgaria and abroad. A very talented author who continuously expands the horizons of his creative pursuits.

He was born in 1967 in the city of Aitos. He graduated from the Art School in the town of Kazanlak, then the National Art Academy in Sofia, specializing in graphics, in the class of Prof. Stoyan Stoyanov.

He organized a number of solo exhibitions in Fontainebleau, France, Maanstrecht, Nordhaizen, Germany, New York, Sofia, Varna, Plovdiv and others. He also participated in a number of collective exhibitions in Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, France, Bulgaria and many others.

Winner of a number of prestigious awards in Germany, Bulgaria, Beijing and Shanghai in China and others. His works are owned by the National Art Gallery of Sofia, the Museum of Modern Art in Fontainebleau, France, in many other galleries in Switzerland, Greece, the Netherlands, Belgium, Great Britain, Russia, USA, Spain and Bulgaria.

The artist works in the field of painting and graphics, participating in numerous exhibitions in Bulgaria and abroad. He works with galleries in Germany, France, the Netherlands, USA, where he presents solo exhibitions and participates in general expositions. Since 1993 he is a member of the Taylor Foundation, Paris. In 2006, the artist won the first prize in a communication competition announced by Telecom "HTP", "Sparkasse Hannover" and "Kreissparkasse Peine" - Germany; 2010 - Grand Prix of the 4th International Ex Libris Exhibition Fu Xian Zhai, Shanghai, China; 2011 - Grand Prix of the 5th International Ex Libris Exhibition Fu Xian Zhai, Shanghai, China; 2012 - Second Prize at the International Exhibition Ex Libris by Art Gallery ZiAn, Beijing (China).
