Aleksander Telalim

 

The artist Alexander Telalim is a Bulgarian painter from the Ukrainian part of Bessarabia. He was born in 1966 in Vladichen. In 1995, he moved to Bulgaria, where he graduated at the National Academy of Arts, Sofia. He is one of the Bulgarian aquarists that has repeatedly presented the art of Bulgaria and Ukraine to the world. An artist with an extremely wide artistic range.

In the general context of art, his work is perceived as a bridge between the two cultures - the East and the West. He has exhibitions in Bulgaria, Germany, Austria, Poland, France, Spain and in his native Ukraine.

Among his most significant exhibitions are: Spiritual messages, Vitosha Gallery (Sofia); Trace of water - part of the program of the Days of Bulgaria at the Consulate of Bulgaria (New York), First flight, exhibition of contemporary Bulgarian art, Bulgarian Cultural Center (London); Traditions and inspirations from the east - exhibition of Alexander Telalim's calligraphy - Missionary Gallery, State Cultural Institute at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Sofia); Far From Yesterday: New Bulgarian Art (Chicago).

The artist presents the art of Bulgaria in the his solo exhibitions, some of them including Watercolors from Bulgaria at the National Ukrainian Museum (Chicago) and the art of Ukraine with its exhibition Yellow and Blue in Macedonia.
