Original title of the artwork: Alla ricerca del Tempo Perduto 15 / In Search of Lost Time 15

"The work is entitled Alla Ricerca del Tempo Perduto n 15 and is part of a cycle of works all with the same title just to highlight that it is a work in pro-gress on the concept of Time and Memory that began in 2010. The title de-liberately refers to the homonymous work of Marcel Proust precisely for the themes treated such as: memory, childhood, memory as the only salvation, the re-enactment of the past and last but not least the ambition to under-stand what time is constituted in such a way as to capture its course and then arrive at the discovery of Lost Time. It all begins with the reading of the famous episode of Madeleine: it is in fact the taste of the biscuit soaked in tea to find the protagonist all the world of his childhood in Combray. As-sailed by an absolute pleasure, as a magical sensation, had allowed him to seize, to isolate, to stop a fragment of time in its pure state. So the Artist wants to highlight, in this work, the intimate and introspective data and also the conceptual aspect of the recovery of both photographic images, then of authentic documentation of a lived, that the use and preservation of tea bags, ideally sipped recalling a moment of their experience. This causes, that one could speak a psychological picture. This 'Internal Time' sought by the Artist was conceived and redefined already in the mid-nineteenth centu-ry by the philosopher Henri Bergson who replaces the concept of 'chronological' time with that of 'internal' time governed by memory. Memory therefore saves man, in that it makes him aware of the true nature of him-self and of the things that surround him." - Oriella Montin
