Clemens Kaletsch

Clemens Kaletsch est né à Munich en 1957. Il a étudié à l'Université des Arts Appliqués de Vienne avec Oswald Oberhuber et à l'Académie des Beaux-Arts de Vienne avec Arnulf Rainer.

Plus récemment, ses œuvres ont été exposées à la Galerie Andrea Madesta Regensburg, à la Michael Horbach Stiftung et au Kunstmuseum Mühlheim an der Ruhr. En 2018, ses œuvres étaient exposés à la Galerie Ohse Bremen et à la Galerie Ernst Hilger à Vienne.

Dans les années 1980, Kaletsch appartenait à la génération de peintres à succès qui cherchaient et trouvaient de nouvelles voies pour la peinture figurative. Cependant, Kaletsch n'a jamais été membre d'un groupe, mais a poursuivi son propre chemin depuis le début. Au vu de la deuxième grande vague de peintures, sa position indépendante développée au fil des années est particulièrement claire. Dans des images de grand format, il formule des histoires sans tomber dans le récit concret.

Ses œuvres ne sont ni abstraites ni figuratives. Dans chaque séquence, ils maintiennent un équilibre flottant particulier entre lisibilité et indice, entre recherche de forme et dissolution.
